At War Last Night

President Obama addressed foreign policy and an ongoing war as if they were adjuncts to the Department of Education. If he continues to be lucky, there won’t be foreign-policy crisis over the next two years of his presidency. But that’s not the way to bet. Dismissing a war with a one-sentence reference in a speech does not mean it’s over.
