I write from across the Atlantic — a Scottish conservative living in London. I derive many hours of pleasure reading National Review Online. My own country has been wrecked by 6 decades of socialism and I would hate to see our Atlantic cousins going the same way. If Obamacare takes that route then full-blown socialised health care will be the end product. Britain’s experience shows that a point of no return is reached with socialised health care, which shifts a country’s political culture decisively to the left, as your esteemed columnist Mark Steyn has pointed out.
