A Washington Education

Here’s our editorial on school choice in D.C. It takes account of the political situation as well as yesterday’s release of new test-score data (press release here, with links to the full study and more). Barack Obama may not support school choice for poor kids, but a number of Washington’s political leaders do, including mayor Adrian Fenty and former mayor Tony Williams. (My reported article on D.C. school choice appears in the current magazine — with a digital subscription, you can read it right now.)
