The flag of the People’s Republic of China was hoisted in the heart of Manhattan yesterday.
I reported on NYC mayor Eric Adams’s participation in a festival to commemorate China Day — the anniversary of the PRC’s founding on October 1, 1949. In addition to a parade and speeches from dignitaries, there was a flag-raising ceremony. You can watch it here:
