At 6:30 p.m. this evening, the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Corynne McSherry and I will debate Stanford Law School’s Nathaniel Persily and a Dutch member of the European Parliament, Marietje Schaake. Corynne and I will argue that “constitutional free speech principles can save social-media companies from themselves.” Our worthy opponents disagree and advocate for a greater degree of social-media censorship.
