Good observation from a political pro:
Lots of down-in-the-weeds stuff by some of your folks, but they’re missing something important: If Congressional/Presidential approval ratings stay in the tank, ‘08 will be a year for non-DC types, ala Carter, Reagan, Clinton.
Candidate who are not DC insiders (Romney, Giuliani, even Obama) are likely to prosper.
