I can only guess that Peggy’s universe of “Professional Military Men” is largely very senior types who have learned to keep opinions on matters like that to themselves.When talking amongst ourselves, I find most of us, officers and enlisted, trend conservative, officers moreso than enlisted, but not by all that much.But all of us with more than a few years of service learn to keep our private opinions to ourselves when talking with media types, and however friendly Peggy may be, she’s a journalist.Heck, since I’ve gone down the road to hell and started blogging – *I* get treated that way. We’re a wary lot.
