A hedge-fund manager and former classmate of the president’s, who just asked when the administration would stop “beating the Wall Street piñata.”

President Obama answers that a lot of folks on Main Street thinks he’s been too soft on Wall Street. The hedge fund manager follows up, mentioning the D’Souza Forbes story on Obama’s “anti-colonial” worldview and Blackstone chairman Steve Schwarzman saying that Obama’s intention to raise taxes on hedge fund managers was like Hitler invading Poland in 1939. Where’s that coming from? the hedge fund manager asks.

“I don’t know where it’s coming from,” Obama replies.
