We Know Whose Fault It Is

Andy asks waaaay below:

[W]hy are Republicans not blocking the reprehensible housing bail-out?

And why on earth is the President going to sign it?

Well, we have it on good authority that the answer to the second question provides the answer to the first.  The president, it seems, was told by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson that he had to sign the bill to save Fannie and Freddie.  So the fact that there were sufficient Congressmen true to their beliefs enough to sustain a veto mattered not.
