We Wouldn’t Want the Islamists to Take Over a Hot Earth

The BBC just called to ask me to be on a program to debate a report from the Oxford Research Group saying that the US is “increasingly viewed as the greatest threat to world peace” and that the “clear and present danger” is an “increasingly marginalised majority living in an environmentally constrained world, where military force is more likely to be used to control the consequences of these dangerous divisions.”

The report adds that since 9/11 “many Western leaders insist that international terrorism is the greatest threat to world security, but the evidence simply does not support this claim. This is distracting us from other much greater threats to security, namely: climate change, competition over resources, marginalisation of the majority world, and global militarisation.”
