James Webb is so “uncomfortable talking about his personal story even if doing so could help him unseat Republican Sen. George Allen”–as the Washington Post reports in wide-eyed admiration today–that his campaign website doesn’t mention it at all or display any pictures from ‘Nam or anything. So don’t go looking for a description of how he won a bunch of medals or finished first in his class at Marine school. Because you definitely won’t find it there.
