A Weird Obama Slur?

So, Obama was talking back to those liberal hecklers — good for him — and said, “You’ve been appearing at every rally we’ve been doing. And we’re funding global AIDS [prevention]. And the other side is not. So I don’t know why you think this is a useful strategy to take.” Um, correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Bush 43 do a lot for global AIDS prevention? Wasn’t he kind of famous for it? Wasn’t that something that the Left actually granted him? I am not aware that the Republican party is standing in the way of AIDS prevention. Are you?

Another question: When Nina Totenberg says she hopes Jesse Helms or his grandchildren get AIDS, and the government pays her for her commentary, does that count as AIDS funding? (Sorry, I said, earlier in the Corner, that I was done with NPR comments.)

One more question: Do conservatives ever heckle Obama at speeches? Or does only the Left heckle?
