Not to open a can of worms on Saturday, but this is what we’re here for: I can’t be the only Corner-type who felt ill reading the New York Times piece on executions this morning. We editorialized that the Supreme Court decision on lethal injections was right, and I stand by that editorial. And I agree with Justice Roberts that capital punishment is constitutional. But I still think we need to rationally consider if we really want to be doing this — even for the most heinous crimes. We definitely ought to be rationally asking the question.
