The Dallas Mavericks aren’t playing the National Anthem before games anymore. And so the woke era has rendered this hitherto wholly uncontroversial patriotic practice, so deeply associated with American sports, too hot to handle. Disgraceful.
UPDATE: It turns out this was a rare case when I was too despairing too soon! The NBA now says teams have to play the anthem.
