When it comes to train wrecks, they say that even if you can’t look away, you want to — but the ongoing disaster that is the Wendy Davis campaign, about which I write today, is far too much fun even for that. And (thankfully, for us media types) it is not over yet.
Apparently unsatisfied with highlighting her opponent’s paralysis and questioning his dedication to interracial marriage rights, Davis issued the following tweet on Tuesday evening:
Texans have a choice between tomorrow & yesterday—between championing equality & opportunity or repealing the Voting Rights Act & DREAM Act.

The criteria for admission to Harvard Law School must be minimal, because Davis seems confused about what governors do. Among the things they cannot do? Repeal federal legislation — such as the Voting Rights Act, passed by Congress in 1965. The DREAM Act, meanwhile, never made it through Congress. So it can’t be repealed by anyone.
To be fair, Davis probably did not pen this tweet. No doubt her social media is the province of an unpaid intern in Fort Worth who proudly sports an “I Bathe in Male Tears” T-shirt. But just remember: The campaign reflects the candidate. And this campaign is nothing short of embarrassing.
