Wendy Davis Praises Abortion Charity Telethon That Auctioned ‘Vag Napkin’

An online telethon last night where comedian Sarah Silverman auctioned off a “vag napkin,” or used sanitary napkin, drew praise from Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis. She tweeted this in support of the event:

The event, held in New York to raise money for a chain of abortion clinics and charities that helps women pay for abortions, was called Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can Choose. Per the Burnt Orange Report, it raised $50,000 for a number of pro-choice groups, including the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, Fund Texas Women, and the Texas Equal Access Fund, all which help women pay for abortions. Funds also supported Whole Woman’s Health, which operates a number of abortion clinics in the state.
