President Obama agrees with Bill Clinton’s call to honor the promise made to those who have lost their insurance plans as a result of Obamacare, including by possibly changing the law, according to White House press secretary Jay Carney.

“The answer is yes,” Carney told reporters when asked if President Obama agreed with Clinton, but he was vague about how the administration planned to move forward. “The president has tasked his team with looking at a range of options, as he said, to make sure that nobody is put in a position where their plans have been canceled and they can’t afford a better plan.”

In an interview earlier Tuesday, Clinton said accommodations should be made for those whose plans have been terminated: “I personally believe, even if it means a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got.”
