Ultimately, I think the revelation in Ron Suskind’s book that the White House was hostile to women won’t amount to much politically. Such accusations — even when proven true — never do serious damage to liberals (because that’s not what such accusations are for, silly rabbit). Still it’s a fun political story of liberal hypocrisy. It’s also fun to watch the White House deny, deny, deny except when they admit it’s, you know, true. From today’s Washington Post:
The acknowledgment Monday by White House officials of discontent among high-level female staffers in the early days came even as Obama aides tried to paint the Suskind book as inaccurate.
It’s not “fake but accurate” it’s accurate but fake!
