What DEI Has Done to College Campuses

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It all sounds innocuous, a commitment to making things nicer. How could anyone object?

The problem is that the DEI movement is a project of the hard left that’s meant to advance its agenda of governmental domination. It was never about “inclusion” at all, but rather exclusion of anyone who doesn’t go along.

Professor Samuel Abrams makes that case superbly in this article.

With the appalling reaction to the Hamas butchery on many campuses, we have a teachable moment when people are paying attention to what is going on. My only disagreement with Abrams is that he evidently thinks the DEI bureaucracies can be reformed. They can’t. DEI is a noxious plant that must be pulled out by the roots.
