What Difference Would It Make?

Let’s see. War on terror in the hands of the Madeleine Albrighties. Kyoto + a million. More Ruth Bader Ginsburgs on the Supreme Court. Retraction of tax cuts. Imposition of tax increases. And if you don’t like the way Republicans handle multicultural and immigration issues, just wait, Derb. Just wait. Just you wait.

Isn’t the key principle of conservatism that in our fallen state, the best we can hope for is the lesser of two evils, Derb?

As for Rudy, Tim, two things. First, Rudy’s mayoralty was the most successful example of local conservative governance in our lifetimes — in a city that’s 4 to 1 Democratic. Second, before you dismiss so cavalierly, read the book, will you?
