What Hayek Was Arguing

A few weeks ago I wrote that if I recalled correctly, Hayek argued in The Road to Serfdom “that central planning was incompatible with a free society, not that ‘regulatory intervention’ per se was.” (If he had maintained that over-regulation inexorably led to the extinction of freedom, I would be perfectly happy to concede that his claim was mistaken.) Over at Bleeding Heart Libertarians, Kevin Vallier says my recollection was correct, and includes some links to some useful posts he has written in the past.
