For What It’s Worth

Most frequently received e-mail on lawngate in Boston goes something like:

Unless I’m confused, it’s widely considered racist and/or discriminatory to ask a Hispanic person whether they have legal immigration status.

“You wouldn’t ask a “white” person that!”

If this is correct, how was the gov supposed to determine whether these workers were legal?

Though, alternatively, there is also:

 ”Ah, geez.” : Morman for “Oh, $h!t”.
