What Shadows?

I’ve been traveling (though not on that cruise!), so I’m catching up with the three-ring immigration circus. The best item was highlighted by our friend Michael Graham: One of Faisal Shahzad’s confederates arrested in Watertown, Mass., (a mile from where my father grew up) admitted to being an illegal alien. And I don’t mean he admitted it in passing to someone in a bar or on the street; when filling out the Boston Police taxicab form, he answered the question “How did you enter the U.S.?” by writing “ilegal.” To the police. And the TV news item Graham linked to ended by reporting that Khan, the illegal alien in question, “doesn’t understand why he was arrested.” Does anyone still believe illegals are living “in the shadows”?
