Her speech today wouldn’t be too soon to say something like “Unlike Barack Obama who played ball with the corrupt Chicago machine, I challenged the corruption in my state head on.” Already the press is tyrying to cast her as another corrupt Alaskan pol. She’s simply not that, whatever faults she might have, she’s not part of the old school Alaskan political culture, and she needs to make that case as soon as possible before the conventional wisdom solidifies.
