What We’re Up Against

Kellie Jay Keen, a.k.a. Posie Parker, is a mother of four and a women’s rights activist from England. Keen founded the organization Standing for Women and travels internationally on her “Let Women Speak” tour, during which she gives women a platform to speak in defense of the definition of “woman” — adult human female — and sex-based rights.

On a recent tour of Australia and New Zealand, Keen ran into trouble. First, LGBTQ+ advocacy groups who said Keen represented a threat to public order pressured officials to deport her. The New Zealand high court ruled that her entry into the country was in fact lawful. However, Michael Wood, the New Zealand immigration minister, said he “would prefer it if [Posie] Parker never set foot in New Zealand” on account of her supposedly “abhorrent” views. He accused her of courting “some of the most vile people and groups around, including white supremacists.” His slimy virtue signaling put a target on Keen’s back.

At her rally in Auckland, a mob of around 5,000 trans activists showed up. Keen was doused in tomato soup and had insults hurled at her as the thousands of activists, many of them men, swarmed around her and her supporters. Eventually, she was forced to abandon the event — she says, in fear of her life — as her security team and police escorted her through the mob.

Lest you think she is exaggerating, see for yourself:

Keen is a highly effective communicator. It’s no wonder transgender activists despise her. Even some on her own side appear envious, falsely claiming that she is affiliated with the “far right.”

Keen has more talent and guts than all her detractors combined. Her campaign isn’t one of hate but of blunt truth-telling. A necessary tactic, given what we’re up against.
