The mood of a Very Smart Political Mind this morning:
Yesterday, I was convinced we were headed to minority. I looked at the polls for the races and felt a little better. Then I saw the generic polls and felt a lot better – although it’s hard to know what they mean in individua races, they are a move in the right direction.
The press is so relentlessly attacking r’s with such vigor, it’s hard not to believe that we’re doomed. Again, when I look at individual races, I’m slightly more optimistic.
We won’t know until tomorrow night and until the end of the week.
