Dominic, you raise a subtle and interesting question. I wouldn’t presume to impose my tastes on anyone else, but especially in this latest version of Godzilla, the monster’s labored gait makes him look unhealthy, as if the next time he returns to Tokyo, he may have to do it in a motorized scooter. Moreover, I’ve always found Godzilla’s roar — iconic, though it is — annoying. And, sorry, the whole breathing-an-atomic-laser-beam thing is just not plausible. Here I stand; I can do no other.
