The Wheels of the Bus

From a reader:

I suggest NRO launch an “Obama – Under the bus” betting pool for the who and when supposed long-standing loyalties for and by Obama are jettisoned. Here’s a start:

How long until Andrew Sullivan throws Pres. Obama under his bus?

I doubt Sullivan will stay loyal for more than 18 months. What’s the NRO over / under?

How long until Pres. Obama throws middle class taxpayers under the bus?

Does Pres. Obama throw Reid and/or Pelosi under the bus?

I realize there are more significant issues such as when will Israel be thrown under the bus but for NRO readers these are the most interesting.

‘We Will Reduce Abortion’

Conor Lamb’s success has revived interest in “I’m personally opposed, but.” It’s a rhetorical convention — a cliché, really — that many Catholic Democrats have resorted to ever since Mario Cuomo popularized it with his speech at Notre Dame in 1984, as Alexandra DeSanctis explained a few days ...
