White House Responds to Cramer

I like how Gibbs not only attacks Cramer, but he attacks the Today show — the very Obama-friendly venue where Cramer made his comments:

When pressed further by Costello, Gibbs said, “If you turn on a certain program it’s geared to a very small audience. No offense to my good friends, or friend at CNBC. But the President has to look out for the broader economy and the broader population.”

Or maybe the press secretary didn’t know that Cramer’s comments pretty much opened the Today show. Maybe that’s the sort of thing press secretary’s are supposed to know?

Update: From a reader:

In addition to Gibbs’ grasp of the finer points of the Today show venue, one might also be impressed by the manner in which he dealt with the details of Cramer’s position.
