Here’s an interesting little side note to the Bart-Stupak-is-retiring story: He was being challenged in the Democratic primary by an ardent pro-choicer, Connie Saltonstall. Yes, Saltonstall — Ms. S. is a former Charlevoix County commissioner. (We’re talkin’ northwestern Michigan.) No word on whether a Cabot or Lodge will jump into the race.
