Who Wins?

Today we have a symposium up on the ceasefire — asking “who wins?” in this 30-some-days war. Anne Bayefsky, Ilan Berman, Peter Brookes, Shoshana Bryen, Caroline Glick, Nikolas Gvosdev, Aaron Mannes, Laurent Murawiec, Walid Phares, David Schenker, and Saul Singer weigh in.

The consensus is overwhelmingly depressing. But here’s a contrarian e-mail:

The experts are blinded by their nuanced and complex thinking. The only one close is Saul Singer. Israel wins big. This is a real wakeup call for increased surveillance and quicker action the next time. Lebanon loses big-check the streets. A repeat performance would be idiocy. Iran, Syria, the U.N., are further exposed as the skunks they are. M. Kaplan, a fisherman from Boca Raton.
