At the health-care summit this afternoon, President Obama repeated an argument the Democrats often use: that he, along with senators and congressmen, get great health care as government employees, so why shouldn’t all Americans get that same health care? “Do you think your government employee benefits are socialism?” he asked a Republican senator.
Well sure they aren’t, but isn’t treating all Americans as though they were employees of the federal government a bit like socialism?
