I’m not sure what it accomplished politically. Those aren’t his voters, are they? Is there any polling evidence that they are? Seems like he just really, really hates her.
I think there’s a consensus on who the winners/losers were, and I think it’s basically right (see below). But two pleasant surprises:
–Newt was good! He really was. That doesn’t mean I think his candidacy is viable or his major handicaps are gone.
–Rick Santorum is bright, presidential-looking, comfortable in the spotlight, knows how Washington works but isn’t of Washington. All these things shone tonight. I don’t agree with him on everything but he’s right, the media isn’t giving him the coverage he deserves.
