I just got around to watching Sunday’s interview of pro-enforcement dynamo D. A. King by Univision’s Jorge Ramos. D. A. did a phenomenal job in calmly and amiably engaging the tendentious, hectoring Ramos. But what I loved best about the interview was Ramos’s lead question: “Why do you hate immigrants?” I’m surprised the follow-up wasn’t, “Have you stopped beating your wife?” Anyway, it’s worth a look, if only to get a sense of the “news” organization that ABC “News” is partnering with to set up a new network called Fusion, targeted at English-speaking Hispanics. (This is the same Ramos that John Fonte’s piece on the homepage quoted as saying he is proud of the fact that he votes in both the U.S. and Mexico, what he calls his “privileged duality.”)
