Why Does Reid Hate America?

Jake Tapper:

“My question to Congress is what are you waiting for?” the president asked the crowd. “Do they not have the time? They just had the week off.”

In an email to supporters this afternoon titled “They won’t even vote on it,” Obama 2012 campaign manager Jim Messina made the same argument.

“Though it’s been nearly a month since he laid out this plan, House Republicans haven’t acted to pass it,” Messina wrote. “And House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is out there actually bragging that they won’t even put the jobs package up for a vote — ever.”

The problem is Senate Democrats haven’t acted to pass it either. And, even worse, at around the same time Messina and the president were complaining about the House GOP not voting on the jobs bill, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced he would block an attempt to bring the jobs bill to the floor of the Senate for a vote.
