Why Hasn’t Bush Been Impeached?

Here I would have thought the reason he hasn’t been impeached is first and foremost  that large-enough numbers of Americans don’t want to impeach him. But, it seems I could not have been more wrong. It’s either some sort of deep denial whereby Americans are unwilling to address “our national core of violent self-righteousness.” Or, if you’re more of a pragmatist it’s because nobody wants Dick Cheney to be president. But that bit about people not wanting to impeach Bush? That’s doe-eyed naïveté, apparently. Read here for the skinny.
