According to George Will, President Obama has completely failed in accomplishing what Will calls the centerpiece of his foreign policy: a “reset” of relations in Russia.

“What we’re seeing in Ukraine, what we’ve seen in Syria, and what we’ll see again in Iran, is the complete failure of what I think was the centerpiece of the president’s foreign policy, and that is the reset of relations with Russia,” Will said. Russia is “not helpful” with Iran, “positively pernicious” with Syria, and bolstering an anti-Western government in Ukraine, Will explained, so he can’t see how Obama’s approach to Russia has helped.

“The question then,” Will said, “is ‘what are we getting?’”
