George Will thinks Americans should be glad to hear Saudi Arabia is intervening in Yemen. But Fox News’ Chris Wallace did not appear to fully understand. On Thursday’s Special Report, Wallace noted that the Obama administration both supports and opposes the Iranian-backed Shiites before asking Will, “Please explain to me—whose side are we on?”

“Both; it depends on the theater and there are a number of theaters in this small region,” Will said. “The good news, it seems to me, is that the Saudis are actually acting. … These are nations, it’s their neighborhood, it’s up to them to do something about it.”

Will added that “the Islamic State is no more a state than Red Sox nation is a nation,” and said that the Islamic State would be no match for a coalition of Middle Eastern countries. But Wallace still appeared confused and said, “I don’t have a clue what U.S. policy is anymore.”
