A Wisconsin Democratic Party spokesman told the Washington Post’s Greg Sargent that recall advocates have already gathered 15 percent of the signatures needed to launch recalls in the eight Republican districts liberals are focusing on. The GOP is remaining mum on how many signatures recall efforts targeted at the missing Democratic senators have gotten, reports Politico’s Bryon Tau.
Meanwhile, ABC reports that former Democratic congressman David Obey is pushing for a recall of Gov. Scott Walker, despite the fact that Wisconsin law dictates that elected officials must have been in office a year before a recall can occur. But Obey thinks that Walker’s “abusive” legislation warrants ignoring the law.
