Wokeness Versus Historical Reenactments

Are there any institutions that haven’t yet been captured by “woke” people who are intent on inflicting their notions on everyone else?

Over on Reason, Charles Oliver reports that the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has decided to forbid the reenactment of the Battle of Bushy Run, a Colonial-era engagement between Indians and British troops. Why? Because people who are not actually American Indians are allowed to take part as Indians. Better not to have the reenactment at all than to sanction identity theft and cultural appropriation!

One might have thought that a majority on that commission could have rejected this woke offensive against a harmless activity, but no.
