Fans of Saturday Night Live in the 1970s remember they used to begin with parodies of what “regular programming” was being interrupted for SNL. My favorite is “Grizzly Adams Sets His Head on Fire will not be shown tonight.” (For you young people, that was a very hairy, bearded Dan Haggerty in an NBC show of that mesozoic era.) I bring this up only to suggest that’s sort of what Wolf Blitzer suffered yesterday in his attempt to interview Duncan Hunter on the craven and crude airing of CNN’s Sniper Theatre.
