Every now and then I invent a new word when the English language doesn’t provide one. Just now I’m in search of a word that may exist and that I don’t know, meaning simultaneously praise and criticism. As in, when people criticize the pope for being “out-of-step,” they are inadvertantly complimenting him. Why would Benedict XVI want to be IN step with this culture? Whatever word I — or you –come up with will appear in tomorrow’s column. What would we call this, then? A blord?
