Words I Never Thought I’d Write

I have been featured in Isvestia.

Back in the U.S.S.R., Pravda (the word means “truth”) and Izvestia (“news”) were the two main organs of state propaganda. The Cold War quip was: “There’s nothing true in Pravda and nothing new in Izvestia.”

This was funny in 1965. No, really. You had to be there.
