Worried about U.S. Inequality? Put It In Perspective

A few years ago I mentioned a really remarkable chart that came out of the book The Haves and the Have Nots, by the World Bank’s Branko Milanovic, that showed that even the poorest 5 percent of Americans are among the richest people in the world — richer than nearly 68 percent of the world’s population. Now, my colleague Matt Mitchell at the Mercatus Center has turned this chart into video that shows that America is . . . doing something right.
