NEW YORK (Reuters) – Crusading New York Attorney
General Eliot Spitzer will announce Tuesday that he will run
for governor in 2006, his spokeswoman Cindy Darrison said.
“He’s announcing that he has decided to run for governor,”
Darrison said of the state’s top prosecutor, who has used his
office to take on Wall Street for fraudulent stock research,
and mutual funds for overcharging ordinary customers.
I’m confused though. I thought “crusading” was a bad thing. Or only when it’s a right-winger doing it?
