Also, the author says the US Senate is the “country’s oldest deliberative body.” That simply can’t be true. I googled “oldest deliberative body” and the first thing that came up was a press release saying the oldest deliberative body in the Western Hemisphere is Charo. I’m kidding, it says it is the Virginia General Assembly, which would make sense.
