When it rains for embattled San Diego mayor Bob Filner, it pours.
Another accuser has stepped forward to say that Filner sexually harassed her; this time it’s a businesswoman by the name of Dianne York. York claims that Filner grabbed her buttocks during a photo-op three months ago and says that both her advisers and Filner’s were in the room at the time.
Filner, who underwent two weeks of behavioral therapy for his alleged sexual harassment, is wildly unpopular in San Diego, and a recall effort is underway. He is currently embroiled in a pair of lawsuits: one from his former communications director Irene McCormack Jackson alleging sexual harassment and another from the city of San Diego seeking to recover costs incurred from the first suit.
Filner’s attorneys were in mediation with Gloria Allred, Jackson’s lawyer, and attorneys for the city Monday, though it’s unknown if the talks included the possibility of Filner resigning.
