Yet More On Poland

I think it is a good time to remind people about the history of Polish assistance to new democracies, in particular the contribution made by Tadeusz Kosciuszko , George Washington’s Chief Engineer, a hero of Saratoga, architect and first commander of West Point. There is a monument to him overlooking the Hudson and another in Lafayette Park. His remarkable contributions show that mere numbers aren’t everything — and I’ll take the 4,000 Poles in Iraq over ten times the number of Kerry’s alleged international supporters.
