Yogi’s Best Line

My favorite Yogi Berra quotation does not involve any sort of redundancy or inadvertent contradiction. It was late in the 1977 (or possibly 1978) season, and the Yankees were playing an important series at Fenway Park. Yogi was a coach with the Yankees, and a young reporter from a New York paper asked him whether, in his playing days, he had hit well at Fenway. Yogi looked at him and replied: “Kid, I hit good everywhere.” And that’s why he’s in the Hall of Fame.
