Indiana and KY Senate Looking Good for GOP

Caveat that there are a lot of votes left to count, but both Rand Paul and Todd Young are looking good for the GOP. Paul is running somewhat ahead of his 2010 results in reporting counties — he won the seat overall by 11.6 percent in 2010, so he looks to cruise to reelection at this point — a very good showing against a serious opponent in Lexington mayor Jim Gray. Young is running well ahead of McCain’s numbers in 2008, when he finished in essentially a dead heat with Obama in the state. A Young victory over Bayh, who had been well ahead most of the election cycle, would be a major coup for the GOP in their hopes to keep the Senate. Possible that Pence’s presence on the ticket will help push Young over the finish line.
